OUR Florida Relief Reaches 205,973 Households, $1.13 Billion in Relief Has Been Obligated to Florida Families Statewide
Tallahassee, FL -- From March 17 through March 23, OUR Florida approved 4,873 applications and obligated more than $29 million in relief to families behind on rent and utilities payments.
In the last 30 days, more than $113 million was obligated to Florida applicants seeking relief on rent and utilities.
More than $1.13 billion has been obligated to 205,973 households across Florida since the program launched May 10, 2021.
“We have continued to process applications and, more importantly, continued to increase the efficiencies that reduce delays and get Floridians their eligible relief,” said Mark Misczak, COO of Tidal Basin Group, which manages program delivery of OUR Florida. "With relief on past due bills, we believe Floridians can focus more on their families and their futures."
OUR Florida provides Opportunities for Utilities and Rental assistance to Florida families and businesses. Families who receive rent and utilities payments through OUR Florida can focus on getting back on track. Property owners who receive relief on behalf of their tenants are able to recover their losses.
Floridians who rent the home, apartment, or other dwelling where they live can apply for relief through OUR Florida. To be eligible for benefits, renters must be low income or unemployed, experienced a loss of income or financial hardship during the last year, and behind on rent or utility payments, or at risk of falling behind.
